Turku University of Applied Sciences (TUAS) hosted #VerkotVesille networking event
TUAS successfully 🏆🎯💎 hosted the first #VerkotVesille networking event for students, companies, local authorities, and researchers with support from our partners. The idea for such an event sparked at WATERLINE’s first Community of Practice workshop last fall.
Unlike other job fairs, the event was organized by students but sponsored by companies. The concept proved to be a great success by gathering 85 participants of which approximately half were students and researchers, and the rest were representatives from industry, NGO’s, and regional authorities, who shared information on their recruitment 💼 needs and research topics 🔎 available for students. The event kicked off with informative and inspiring 💡 talks and continued with an open networking session.
Having been such an effective way to put WATERLINE’s objectives to increase the involvement of regional actors in the RDI and education process and strengthening linkages between the academic and the private sector for effective transfer of information on the competence needs of the industry 💪we would be happy to share the concept with our project partners at #MCAST, #MENDELU, #NMBU, #DEU-DESUM, #UNEXE, #UNI, #UNIRC.
