MCAST hosted the 2nd WATERLINE Maltese Community of Practice
Last Friday MCAST hosted the 2nd WATERLINE Maltese Community of Practice (CoP) meeting at the Paola campus. The event brought together local stakeholders from industry, academia, civil society, and policymakers to discuss the future of Digital Water and the importance of a unified approach to its implementation.
Key discussions focused on fostering collaboration and building professional networks within the Digital Water Alliance, highlighting the role of cooperation in driving innovation. Participants also shared valuable insights into the impact of the WATERLINE project on water education.
A standout moment of the event was the official launch of MCAST’s Virtual Reality water network distribution test rig, where CoP members had the exclusive opportunity to explore the VR app and experience the future of water management training.
Special thanks to Owen Attard from WSC for his valuable contributions on the AI Production Optimisation Solution and Luke Galea from EWA for his insightful presentation on the Unsaturated Zone Monitoring Network. Your expertise greatly enriched our discussions!
We thank all CoP members that joined the meeting and we’re looking forward to seeing the continued growth of this community and the exciting developments ahead for digital transformation in water management! 💧
