Rasha is a dedicated professional specializing in addressing water challenges, promoting sustainability and resilience, and implementing climate adaptation strategies with a focus on the MENA region. Equipped with expertise in the water-food nexus and drought management, Rasha brings unique value to every project she undertakes.
Rasha's academic journey laid a strong foundation for her career. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Environmental Systems Engineering from Tishreen University in Syria. To further deepen her expertise, she pursued a Master of Science in Water and Coastal Management from Bologna University in Italy.
Rasha serves as the internal project manager for Horizon Europe projects, including WATERLINE, within the Water Technology and Data Analytics research group at Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). Her role involves research, administrative and financial management, daily coordination, and partner collaboration.
One of her proudest contributions has been leading R 5.1 "R&I Funding Landscape: Opportunities for WATERLINE" and reviewing various reports. Witnessing the evolution of WATERLINE and being engaged from day one has been incredibly rewarding. This project has offered a fantastic opportunity to connect with European talents from diverse backgrounds and expertise levels.
