🌟 Researcher Spotlight: Marina Mistretta 🌟

Meet Marina Mistretta full professor of Building Physics and Building Energy Systems at the Department of Information Engineering, Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy (DIIES), Università degli Studi 'Mediterranea'​ di Reggio Calabria (UNIRC). Her scientific activity started at University of Palermo, where she took a PhD in Building physics and building energy systems. The research activities focus on sustainability, energy and environment, life cycle-based methodologies, energy efficiency in buildings, technologies powered by renewable energy, energy generation and storage systems and strategies for decarbonization of systems and processes. Her experience on building science and Life Cycle Assessment is clarified by the coordination of national and international research projects on energy-environmental topics.

💧 Marina Mistretta’s Role in Waterline 💧

Marina is one of the contributors to the Horizon Europe Project WATERLINE, as head of the UNIRC team. She focuses on sharing knowledge and expertise about the benefits of the life cycle approaches, in order to increase the skills in the field of water sustainability, and to transfer knowledge on LCA both in terms of methodology and tool of support to eco-design and innovation processes for water technologies.
